The Best Banana Bread

Who else has about a million frozen bananas in their freezer!?!?! I do, and my husband gave me an ultimatum, throw them out or use them. So I decided to make my tried and true banana bread recipe. It’s so moist, and delicious and super simple and if you bake regularly you definitely have all of the ingredients in your cupboard. This one has large chunks of dark chocolate in it which add a great contrast to the sweetness of the banana bread. I could honestly eat the whole loaf! So I really hope you all enjoy!!!

Ingredients

  • 3 Over Ripe Bananas
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/3 C Vegatable oil
  • 1/4 C Milk
  • 2 C All Purpose Flour
  • 1 C Sugar
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Bar of Dark Chocolate

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350F or 180C
  2. Chop up half of your chocolate bar into bite size pieces
  3. Peel and mash up your bananas in a medium sized mixing bowl. Add your two eggs and mix.
  4. Once egg and banana are combined add in milk and vegetable oil and mix until combined and then add sugar and mix until combined
  5. In a separate larger bowl combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Make a well in centre of dry ingredients and add in your banana mixture.
  7. Once throughly combined fold in your chopped chocolate.
  8. Pour batter into two prepared loaf pans.
  9. Bake for at least and hour, very possibly more, and continue baking until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Place on a cooling rack, and allow to cool.
  11. Remove from pans, slice, and spread with butter and enjoy!!

Tips

I honestly thought about adding some toasted butter pecans to this banana bread because I am obsessed with buttered pecans, sadly I had no pecans in the cupboard so I will definitely try it out next time.
